…says ex-governor unhappy due to inability to control his successor
Former presidential media aide Reno Omokri has accused ex-Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai of spreading misinformation about the Tinubu administration’s security efforts in Kaduna.
Omokri alleged that El-Rufai is frustrated because he can no longer remotely control his successor, Governor Uba Sani, or influence the state’s governance.
Highlighting the administration’s achievements, Omokri stated that over 14 notorious bandit leaders have been eliminated under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
These, according to him, are Kachalla Ali Kawaje, Kachalla Halilu Sububu, Kachalla Damina, Kachalla Dangote, and Kachalla Jafaru.
Others include Kachalla Barume, Kachalla Shehu Tsoho, Kachalla Yellow Mai Buhu, Yellow Sirajo, Kachalla Dan Muhammadu, Kachalla Makasko, Yellow Hassan, Boderi, Kachalla Dan Ba Birki, and Auta Dan Mai Jan Kai.
“As a result of this, peace has returned to Kaduna and its neighboring states,” Omokri said. “We no longer see photos of prominent individuals meeting with heavily armed bandit leaders in broad daylight without consequences, as occurred under El-Rufai’s administration.”
He further claimed that ransom payments to bandits have ceased, with many criminals now being killed, arrested, tried, and convicted.
Omokri urged Nigerians to dismiss El-Rufai’s statements, accusing him of attempting to discredit the government’s security successes.
