Consecrating and electing a Lesbian Bishop to become the Primate of Wales and making her a Primate in the Anglican Communion, as the Anglican Province of Wales has done, is a horrendous evil for the Church to do.
First and foremost, a woman shouldn’t be a priest or bishop or archbishop or primate. That’s theologically wrong.
Secondly, making a practicing Lesbian a priest, Bishop, and now Primate is a horrendous sin against God and against the Church.
Thirdly, this ungodly development in the Canterbury Anglican Communion should have been anticipated especially when it is common knowledge that many clergy and Bishops are practicing homosexuals. It shouldn’t be a big surprise that one of them is now a Primate in the Canterbury Anglican Communion. In other words, the Canterbury Anglican Communion now has a practicing Lesbian as a member of the Primates Council of the Anglican Communion. That is very very troubling.
Fourthly, GAFCON Provinces broke communion with the Episcopal Church(TECUSA) for consecrating a gay Bishop. Now that the Canterbury-led Anglican Communion has a Lesbian Archbishop and Primate who is living with her Lesbian partner we are curious to see if GAFCON Provinces will still remain in communion with the Anglican Communion. It will be interesting to see how GSFA & GAFCON Provinces handle the issue of continuing in communion with Canterbury.
Finally, as we are openly and rightly correcting the ungodly actions of the Anglican Province of Wales we need to be willing to correct and accept the corrections of the ungodly actions of our own Anglican Provinces, Churches, and denominations. Our sin is Sin before God no matter how “small” we think it is. Humility is important in the Christian life.
