Cross Cultural Mission, a means to Promote Unity-- Bishop Felix Orji

It is important that Africans living abroad see the necessity of doing cross-cultural mission and finding ways to cooperate with the people in their host countries.

Unfortunately and it is a real shame that many of them segregate and separate themselves from their host countries and huddle together to do ministry amongst their african or tribal people.

This posture is reflected in worshipping and doing things exactly the way it’s done in Nigeria or Kenya or Uganda thereby alienating their own American/Canadian-born children and other cultures and peoples in their countries of residence from their christian mission and worship. This is a problem with most Nigerian and Kenyan churches here in the USA and in the UK as well.

We have spoken up against it quite often but instead of paying attention many of them get defensive and demonize anyone who points out the problem. Christian mission is a mission to ALL NATIONS AND TRIBES, not just to your own nation or tribe.

-Bishop Felix Orji, OSB.
