Welcoming the new students, the Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, congratulated them on their admission and urged them to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits. He reminded them to be grateful to God, their parents, and themselves, emphasizing that many others are still waiting for the opportunity they now have. He encouraged them to guard their admission jealously and to remain committed to discipline, hard work, and the institution’s rules and regulations.
Dr. Oluseye also advised the students to explore opportunities beyond academics, including innovation, entrepreneurship, sports, entertainment, and creativity. He reiterated that their primary objective is to acquire knowledge and skills that will empower them to make meaningful contributions to the society.
As part of efforts to enhance the learning environment, the Institution’s Management, led by the Rector, commissioned an Ultra-modern Toilet facility for the convenience of both students and staff. The initiative reflects OGITECH’s commitment to providing world-class infrastructure and positioning itself as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing polytechnics.
The event also featured the presence of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who was represented by the JAMB Coordinator in Ogun State, Mr. Abdulakeem Abdulhameed. In his remarks, he underscored the importance of JAMB in the matriculation process and the role of the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) in ensuring admission integrity. He commended OGITECH for complying with JAMB’s admission regulations and urged the management to sustain this standard.
Acting Registrar, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, also addressed the matriculants, urging them to uphold good character and strictly adhere to the institution’s rules and guidelines. She wished them success in their academic journey.
