Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH) recently held its 19th Matriculation Ceremony, marking a significant milestone for the institution and its new students. The event, which took place on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Prince Dapo Abiodun Twin-Lecture Theatre, was attended by dignitaries, parents, and freshmen.
The Rector, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, welcomed the freshmen and emphasised the importance of discipline, hard work, and character. He encouraged the students to strive for excellence in academics, innovations, sports, and other areas, while also reminding them to avoid acts that could jeopardise their studentship or tarnish the institution's reputation.
The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, represented by Mr. Abdulhameed Abdulakeem, highlighted the significance of the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for student registration and commended OGITECH's management for their compliance.
The ceremony also featured the commissioning of a world-class comfort station for students, fulfilling the Rector's promise to provide a conducive learning environment.
The Acting Registrar, Mrs. Sakirat Olajumoke Johnson, congratulated the students on becoming beneficiaries of the institution's privileges and advised them to maintain good conduct throughout their stay.
