The Vicar of Bishop Akin Atere Anglican Church, Isorosi, Awori Diocese, Ota, Ogun State, Revd. Damilola Moses Oladele has announce that the church will be organizing Food bank Day to Celebrate this year Easter.
Revd. Damilola Oladele, in the press release made available to the journalists said this is the maiden edition of this humanitarian aid since his arrival as the Vicar of the Church in December 1st, 2025.
He emphasize that, the Church stands as a succour to the society, most especially to the less privilege. The cleric said this is another means of propagating the gospel. He cited the book of James in the bible, wherein someone came begging for food and the other person said, "knee and let's pray". The Vicar said, the bible said further that the best thing the person need first is food before prayers.
The cleric said, the country is not fine, because many people find it difficult to eat and it's the duty of the Church to give succour to such people.
Revd. Damilola Oladele, is the Awori Diocesan Communicator, Chaplain of Industrial Chaplaincy of Awori Diocese. He is also the Publisher of The Voice Magazine and owners of Damatv.
He said, his organization, Dama Media Concept is partnering with the Church to organize this gesture.
"The inflation in the country is high, many could bit afford a meal per day. Church, is a home of refuge, succour and hope for the people. We are organizing this food bank as a means of evangelism and also put smiles on the faces of the people. We will be giving food to at least 50 people within the Isorosi Community" he added.
In his words "Dama Media Concept Publisher of The Voice Magazine and owners of Damatv is partnering with the Church to organize this as part of the 15th Anniversary of the organization and 8th Anniversary of the Church".
The 8th Anniversary of the Church is slated for May 31st 2026.
