News reaching NoTM online has it that no fewer than three persons have been killed while six others suffered varying degrees of injuries in another fresh accident at Sango-Ota tollgate end, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
This accident followed the one that happened at the same tollgate two weeks ago, in which six persons died while three others were injured.
In the current accident like the one before it was caused by an articulated vehicle, which ran into two other vehicles and mauling the people on its way.
The vehicle was said to be descending to the tollgate area from Ilo-Awela axis, on its way to Lagos, when it suffered a brake failure.
Traffic officers from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency,TRACE, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and the Police are currently at the scene.
NoTM online had it on good source that injured victims had been rushed to the State Hospital at Onipanu,Ota, while the corpses have been deposited at the morgue.
Meanwhile, traffic at the tollgate was earlier affected as commuters and motorists were held in the gridlock while safety officials were evacuating the casualties.
