By The Lord Bishop, Diocese of Awori
Beloved Mothers in Christ,
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is with a heart full of gratitude and joy that I extend my warmest Mother’s Day greetings to all our wonderful mothers in the Diocese of Awori.
Today, we celebrate you—our virtuous women, prayer warriors, nurturers, and pillars of faith. Your unwavering commitment to God, your families, and the church is a testimony of God’s love and grace at work.
The Bible says in Proverbs 31:28, “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”
Indeed, you are blessed, and we, as a Diocese, rise today to honour and appreciate you. Your love, sacrifice, and devotion reflect the heart of God, and your influence in the home and the church cannot be overstated.
Just as Hannah prayed fervently, Mary nurtured Jesus with love, and Deborah led with wisdom, so do you continue to shape lives and build generations in faith. The strength you demonstrate in carrying out your spiritual, moral, and family responsibilities is an inspiration to us all.
Dear mothers, in a world filled with challenges, remain steadfast in faith. Your prayers can change nations, your wisdom can guide the next generation, and your love can heal broken hearts. Continue to train up your children in the way of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6) and keep the fire of faith burning in your homes and churches.
On this special occasion, I pray that:
• The Lord strengthens you in all your labour of love according to Isaiah which says “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles,They shall run and not be weary,They shall walk and not faint”.Isaiah 40:31. This is my wish for you this day and ever.
• May God’s grace and peace abound in your homes. All these blessings in Numbers 6:24-26 shall be yours “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you,And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,And give you peace.” “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
• May you receive divine wisdom to continue nurturing godly generations . James 1:5 says “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him”.James 1:5. You will not lack wisdom in Jesus name
Conclusion
As you celebrate this day, may joy, peace, and God’s unfailing love fill your hearts. May you continue to be women of virtue, strength, and unwavering faith.
The Diocese of Awori appreciates you, honours you, and prays for you.
Happy Mother’s Day!
God bless you all.
