While Nigerians were looking at Mr Ben Bruce with pity because of the speculation that he was tensely looking for how to pay some debts, his group (Silverbird) jumped to the fore and announced Governor Oyebanji of Ekiti State as Man of the year.
How did Silverbird that does not have a noticeable presence in Ekiti State evaluate the activities of Oyebanjii who works and lives in Ekiti? The people queried in amazement.
Like the imperialists callously did to the African fathers in the Berlin conference of 1884, Governor Oyebanji has satanically unified former governors and Senators in Ekiti State by lavishly throwing our commonwealth to them.
In 2024, (year under the award coverage), Ekiti State suffered the worst level of insecurity in history. Obas were killed, students kidnapped, POS agents attacked, robbed and killed everywhere, The remaining POS agents began to run from pillar to pole for the fear of being robbed or killed.
Commercial motorcyclists (okada)were attacked and killed everywhere. Professor was abducted, murdered and buried by his abductors, in the same 2024.
The health care delivery in Ekiti State has been very poor. If you are taken to the state's teaching hospital, except God is still having a purpose for your existence, you might not be able to make it back home alive.
Oyebanji is a reckless power monger who is ready to give the state out to anybody in exchange of 2nd term in office.assurance.
In Ekiti State, among Governor Oyebanji, Mr Ayo Fayose, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Otunba Adebayo, Mr Taju PS, and Mr.Lekan (governor's brother), it is quite hard to know who is really the governor.
According to Oyebanji's host (ex governor), Oyebanji went to Ayo Fayose's house 17times within one year. If the same is replicated for the other former governors, it would amount to around 85 times or 85 days .
That doesn't take into account the number of times, Oyebanji has gone to the houses of his former principal, teacher, friends, shumeka (cobbler), drycleaner, and so on.One day the internet was awash with a news that Oyebanji had gone to his own wife on a work visit. Is that not too hilarious?
If Oyebanji is to be a worker in the Silverbird, would Ben Bruce had honoured him as the worker of the year? Between Ben Bruce and Silverbird, one person may need to seek forgiveness from God.
