The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI CON FCA, has met with bishops of the Anglican Communion in Ogun State, pledging purposeful and
inclusive governance if elected in 2027.
Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, met the clerics at the Bishop's Court, Sagamu, where issues of security, education, healthcare, youth empowerment and equitable development were discussed.
The Archbishop of Lagos Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Dr. Michael Olusina Fape, who spoke on behalf of the bishops, urged the senator to be a leader for all, irrespective of religion, ethnicity or geographical divide.
Fape also charged him to ensure that development reaches rural and remote communities and not just urban centres.
Responding, Adeola said if given the mandate, his administration would meet the expectations of the people of the state.
He said his track record as a senator and his various intervention projects were proof of his capacity to deliver good governance.
Adeola explained that his ITESIWAJU Agenda would serve as a blueprint to sustain current development strides while expanding opportunities and improving the living standards of residents.
He thanked the bishops for their prayers and counsel, assuring them that his government would promote religious harmony and partner with faith-based institutions.
The APC candidate further pledged not to disappoint the Body of Christ if elected governor of the state.
